The Anne Clark Centre (ACC) will host four games in the opening round of the 2013 Australian Netball League when the competition gets underway in July.
Netball NSW will once again field two teams in the competition with each State and Territory in Australia represented, in addition to a team from the Australian Institute of Sport. The 2013 teams; AIS, Canberra Darters, Netball NSW Blues, Netball NSW Waratahs, Queensland Fusion, Southern Force, Tassie Spirit, Territory Storm, Victorian Flames, Victorian Fury and Western Sting.
The Netball NSW Waratahs open their campaign at ACC on Saturday 6 July when they take on Victorian Fury at 6:45pm, the first game in a double-header. New Victorian team the Flames will battle reigning premier Southern Force in the second game at 8:30pm.
The NNSW Waratahs return to the court at midday on Sunday 7 July against the Flames, followed by Southern Force and Victorian Fury.
Following a bye in the opening round, the Netball NSW Blues head to the Northern Territory to get their season started with a triple-header, taking on hosts Territory Storm on Friday 12 July, Australian Institute of Sport on Saturday 13 July and Victorian Flames on Sunday 14 July.
Following the opening round, ANL action returns to ACC on Wednesday 31 July with the local derby between NNSW Blues and NNSW Waratahs.
NSW supporters will get the chance to cheer on their teams once again in Week 7 of the competition from Friday 16 – Sunday 18 August with eight games in three days at ACC.
Following Week 7, the final week of the preliminary rounds of the competition, the 2013 ANL will conclude with the finals series from Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 August.
