Both NSW Australian Netball League teams will travel north of the border this weekend for Round 4 action, with the Netball NSW Waratahs taking on QLD Fusion in Brisbane, while the Canberra GIANTS will meet Territory Storm on the Sunshine Coast.
For the Waratahs it will be a chance at redemption after suffering back-to-back losses against reigning Premiers Victorian Fury in Melbourne last weekend.
Their recent record against the Fusion is promising, with a comprehensive 22-goal victory at Brisbane Entertainment Centre followed by a nail-biting, come-from-behind 51-51 draw at Ormiston College in Round 1 last season.
It’s a different story for the Canberra GIANTS who are coming off two solid wins against Tasmania Magpies in Round 3, while the Storm are still searching for their first win of the season. However the Storm will be hosting their first games on their home court at University of Sunshine Coast; will that provide the extra motivation to get the points?
Their first hit-out on Saturday will be as a curtain-raiser for the Suncorp Super Netball contest between GIANTS Netball and Sunshine Coast Lightning, which will begin at 7:45pm local time (8:45pm AEDT).
All will be revealed once Round 4 concludes on Sunday afternoon, 12 March.
