Kelly on top after 101 tests

After notching her 100th ANZ Championship cap during the 2014 season, Sharon Kelly has added another milestone – umpiring her 100th international match during the Commonwealth Games!04 Sharon Kelly 100 tests presentation insert

Kelly reached the milestone in Saturday’s Semi Final between New Zealand and Jamaica in Glasgow.

The match was officiated by an all-NSW outfit with Michelle Phippard running the opposite side and Rachel Ayre in reserve.

Kelly’s achievement was acknowledged by the International Netball Federation with a presentation by INF president Molly Rhone and Prince Edward!

Kelly made her international debut in 1997 and has since umpired at every Commonwealth Games netball tournament, at three World Championships and is the long-reigning Australian Umpire of the Year.

Following the Semi Finals, the Northern Suburbs umpire was appointed to the Bronze Medal Match alongside Kiwi Jono Bredin, with Phippard as reserve, finishing the tournament with 101 international matches to her whistle!
