The event, which is held every two years, will cater for all levels of netball coaches, umpires, administrators and supporters. In 2016 the conference takes place on the weekend of February 20-21 at Netball Central.
Conference participants can learn from the best in the business with coaches, umpires and bench officials who all were appointed to participate in Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015, plus former Silver Ferns coach Yvonne Willering who will present two sessions; the first on One on One Defence v Space Marking and Reacting v Creating of the Intercept, followed by Second Phase Play – Looking Beyond the First Pass On Attack.
The Conference will host the likes of Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander, Sharon Kelly and NSW Swifts head coach Rob Wright. The 28 sessions will cover education, learning, development opportunities, networking and upskilling PLUS you can pick and choose your sessions to suit your needs and interest.
Some key areas that the Conference will highlight include: The power of social media, Developing sound financial practices, Sports medicine and assisting performance and Netball NSW Umpire Pathways and programs.
The Conference will also hear from people in the netball community and their journey.
The agenda is jam-packed full of educational, insightful and interactive sessions and workshops covering all aspects of netball. The 28 sessions cover an array of streams including coaching, umpiring, officials and administration. Delegates can tailor their Conference experience to their areas of interest.
The 2-day Delegation fee includes a Conference Pack which you’ll receive upon arrival on Day 1, parking (in P3), admission to the 2016 NSW Swifts Season Launch and Family Fun Day as well as morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days.
