2013 NID Champions crowned Wednesday night

The 2013 Court Craft Plexipave Night Interdistrict champions will be crowned on Wednesday night (December 4) following the final round of the twilight competition.

After nine weeks of round robin action several teams will enter the final round assured of their final place on top of the ladder however, there is still plenty to play for at the Anne Clark Centre.

Eastwood Ryde is set to claim the winner’s crown in the top division and will aim to finish the season undefeated with a 10th win in the final round. It is a close race for Runners Up with St George just two competition points ahead of Sutherland Shire.

There are three teams within four points at the top end of the Division Two ladder. Manly-Warringah leads the way, undefeated with a healthy points for/against percentage. Hawkesbury City have just one loss to their name in second place closely followed by Randwick, setting up an exciting clash in the final round.

The Division Three crown is on the line on Wednesday night with only one point separating Hills District and Liverpool City on top of the table. Both teams boast seven wins apiece while Hills District has played out a draw and one loss, Liverpool City two losses.

Baulkham Hills will be crowned Champion of Division Four after going undefeated in the first nine rounds of the competition to sit seven points clear on the ladder. There is a tussle for second place with Parramatta Auburn in second on 11 points, followed by Campbelltown and Ku-ring-gai, both with 10 points.

Eastwood Ryde is assured of first place in Division Five, sitting four points ahead of second placed Baulkham Hills with one round to play, while Blacktown City (third) is just one win behind Baulkham Hills. Which team will finish as Runners Up will be determined on Wednesday night when the two teams go head-to-head at 8:30pm.

It is a tight battle for final placings in Division Six with five teams within four points at the top of the ladder. Illawarra leads the way on 16 points with just one loss to their name, on 14 points is Baulkham Hills and Blacktown City, split only on points for/against, while on 12 points is Fairfield City and Parramatta Auburn.

Division Seven is hotly contested with Illawarra on top with 16 points, Eastwood Ryde follows on 14 with Inner Western Suburbs on 12, ahead of Penrith, Bankstown City and Randwick all on 10 points.

Undefeated Hills District will be named 2013 Court Craft Plexipave Night Interdistrict – Division Eight Champion on Wednesday night. It is a three-team contest for Runners Up with Blacktown City, Penrith and Bankstown City split only by points for/against from second to fourth place leading into the finale.
