Netball NSW is currently undertaking a series of School Holiday Clinics across the State.
Following the success of the Easter and July school holiday programs, registrations for the six clinics this holiday period proved very popular.
Hume (Riverina), Inner Western Suburbs, Mt Druitt (Metropolitan), Eurobodalla (South Coast), Coonabarabran (West/Central West) and Newcastle (Hunter) Associations are hosting these clinics, with hundreds of children aged 5-12 taking to courts to learn new netball skills from qualified coaches in a fun and supportive environment.
On Wednesday 25 September, Inner Western Suburbs Netball Association in the Sydney suburb of Concord hosted 110 enthusiast girls in beautiful sunshine.
Upon arriving to the venue, the girls were surprised to see NSW Swifts defender April Letton in attendance to assist the coaches.
Amy Quirk, Netball NSW Junior Development Coordinator, said the smiles on the faces of all participants reflected the popularity of these clinics.
“These clinics are so much fun for everyone involved,” said Quirk.
“Our objective for every School Holiday Clinic is for all participants to grow their enjoyment for the sport, learn some new skills, meet new friends and just have plenty of fun for three hours.”
“The popularity of our clinics continues to grow and we look forward to conducting these again in 2014,” concluded Quirk.
