Far North Coast to crown Champ

Regional State League action will wrap up on the Far North Coast this weekend with their 2014 Champion to be unveiled on Sunday 18 May in Yamba.

Three regular rounds are still to be played, with the final two teams sitting atop the ladder at the end of the round robin stage to contest the Grand Final.  After five rounds defending champions Grafton and Ballina are first and second, closely followed by Lower Clarence in third.

The Far North Coast Regional State League competition is also an exciting development opportunity for teams like Casino and Brunswick Byron, providing an opportunity for the young athletes in both sides a chance to be exposed to more senior netball.  This is turn gives them the opportunity in gaining experience as they prepare for State Age and State Championships later this year.

Far North Coast coaches will also be given an exciting development opportunity with Netball NSW Hall of Fame Member and coaching legend Marg Corbett OAM travelling to Yamba this weekend to provide real-time mentoring.

The team who is crowned 2014 Far North Coast Champion will be invited to represent the region at the 2014 Inter-Regional State League competition, to be played at the Anne Clark Centre on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September.
