Fun had at South Coast All Abilities Gala Day

Netball NSW hosted an All Abilities Gala Day in Berkeley for over 60 participants to experience the joy of learning and playing netball.

For many of the participants, it was the first time they had been able to take to the court and enjoy a range of activities.

The eager 60 participants plus their teachers and support staff traveled from five schools and two community groups in the South Coast to attend the day held at the Illawarra Sports Stadium in Berkeley.

The day focused on building the participants skills and encouraging them to try new activities. There were plenty of varied drills for all levels which included fun games, netball skills and of course, some netball games at the end of the day.

There was lots of achievements, high fives and great sportsmanship shown throughout the day, with Netball NSW staff and volunteers having just a much fun as the participants.

Netball NSW would like to recognise the contribution Woolworths made to the day, providing delicious fruit and yummy sausage sizzle supplies for the day, and the Dapto Lions Club who kindly donated their time and were the day’s chefs.
