Netball NSW is excited to announce the launch of the Netball NSW HSC Program for 2017. The program, which will be delivered in partnership with SEDA College, will provide students in Years 11 and 12 with the opportunity to complete their HSC studies within sport and community settings.
For prospective students, this is a chance to gain educational and industry qualifications while gaining a first-hand understanding of the sports industry through involvement with Netball NSW.
As part of the Netball NSW HSC Program, students will have the opportunity to learn from staff within the organisation and are involved with industry programs, major events, practical placement and other industry experiences. Students have the opportunity to be involved in a range of participation programs and events including:
- Delivery of Netball NSW community programs and holiday programs
- Delivery of Netball NSW school programs
- Match day assistance at Netball NSW home games
For those interested in the program, SEDA College will be hosting an Information Night at Netball Central next Tuesday 6 September, from 7pm AEST.
SEDA College Prinicipal Kate O’Donnell said the organisation was excited to partner with Netball NSW to help deliver an exciting HSC curriculum that sits ‘outside the box’.
“SEDA College brings a new and exciting model of learning to senior secondary students in NSW, particularly those who love their sport or music,” O’Donnell said.
“From match day assistance to community programs; the Netball NSW HSC Program offers engaging and practical experience, and gives students the opportunity to gain educational and industry qualifications in a hands-on environment.
“To learn more about the Netball NSW HSC Program we’re encouraging prospective students, and their families, to join us at our information session. We’re looking forward to meeting with some wonderful young people and sharing more about what SEDA College can offer,” O’Donnell concluded.
