It’s been a fantastic year for Netball NSW so far, and there is even more good news with 10 NSW officials receiving their next National Accreditations in the fields of coaching, umpiring and bench officiating.
The officials have used the 2016 Samsung Premier League as a High Performance pathway to their latest recognition and been duly rewarded for years of hard work and dedication.
Coaches Nardia Macdonald (Northern Suburbs), Regan Tweddle (St George) and Amina Fisher (St George) each have been awarded their Advanced Coaching Accreditations, while Debbie Phillips (Parramatta Auburn) has received her National Bench Official Accreditation.
There was more recognition in the umpiring field with Michelle Phippard (Manly Warringah) receiving her IUA endorsement and three officials receiving National A endorsements – Kylie Mulcare (Baulkham Hills), Lisa Chiovo (Sutherland) and Colleen Hutcheon (Eastwood Ryde).
Two National A badges were also awarded, one to Tamara Welsford (Penrith) and the other to Tayla Favell (Baulkham Hills).
Netball NSW Volunteer Workforce Manager Dianne Brown said the Accreditations were wonderful news for both volunteers and netball in the state.
“I’m very proud of the quality of officials that NSW continues to produce, and that we are able to provide a competition platform for players, coaches, umpires and officials to benefit from every week,” she said.
“These Accreditations are the fruit of years of hard work and we at Netball NSW couldn’t be happier for our officials, it is well deserved.”
Brown also said having such quality personnel at Netball NSW’s disposal was wonderful for the organisation.
“On behalf of Netball NSW, we could like congratulate all officials on their achievements, and we look forward to continuing to work with them on their development pathways.”
