Today, Monday 13 May, marks the first day of ‘Volunteer Week’ for season 2013! Every day this week netballnsw.com will be focussing on the thousands of volunteers in the netball community who dedicate hours of unpaid work to help support our wonderful game.
Netball NSW CEO Carolyn Campbell says volunteers are the linchpin of our netball community.
“Netball NSW can be proud to be one of the largest member organisations in the country, however we wouldn’t be where we are without the tireless work of our amazing volunteers,” Campbell said.
“From the NSW Swifts Game Day Volunteers to the canteen ladies in regional NSW; the umpires who officiate State League to the mums and dads who coach grassroots teams. Many volunteers dedicate years of service to Associations and Clubs so that players can have the opportunity to take the court.”
“’Volunteer Week’ is an important event in our calendar to take the time to say Thank You, and on behalf of Netball NSW I would like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to every volunteer for their time and efforts.”
Netball NSW would like to assist Associations and Clubs to celebrate the fantastic volunteers in the community with a Certificate of Recognition.
Certificates of Recognition are available for volunteers who have provided Associations and Clubs with service from five years and upwards (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40…yes even 45 or 50 years!).
Submit your forms prior to Friday 7 June to ensure you have ‘Thank You’ certificates to present at the end of the netball season.
Join in and show your appreciation for the volunteers that support your Associations and Clubs.
