Netball supports Girls in Sport initiative

On Thursday 20 November, Netball NSW attended a Womensport NSW ‘Girls in Sport’ event supported by Parramatta City Council, where local female high school students came together to try a variety of sports, and also meet a few sporting heroes.

NSW Swift Paige Hadley joined other elite athletes for Australian omen’s cricket and rugby on a Q&A panel, which also featured Netball NSW General Manager – High Performance (interim) Nikki Horton.

For an hour attending students were able to ask some of their burning questions of the panel, such as; What is your normal day-to-day routine? How did you get involved in sport? What is your biggest achievement?

After getting some photos and autographs the students headed outside to try their hand at a variety of different sports – football, AFL, martial arts and yes, most importantly netball!
