Netball World Cup 2015 Sydney has launched the second wave of its Volunteer Program, with less than one year until the opening whistle of this prestigious event.
In this phase, NWC2015 are looking for volunteers to fill the following vacancies;
- General Volunteer Roles
- Local Ambassador Roles
- Ceremony Volunteer Roles
These positions don’t necessarily need any prior netball event experience and opened for applications on Thursday, August 7th 2014.
“Without volunteers, sport in Australia could not survive. Every week in communities across Australia, thousands of volunteers bring netball to life and Netball World Cup will be no different. Volunteers will be central to the event’s success,” said NWC2015 CEO Marne Fechner.
“Our sport has a proud history of volunteering and we expect our netball community, as well as the general public, to get behind this event, and get involved!”
“So we are calling on all the volunteer heroes out there to join the NWC2015 team and help us make this the best netball event ever staged!”
In total the NWC2015 will have 700 Volunteer roles available for next year’s tournament, with the first wave – launched in early July 2014 – looking for Competition Specific Volunteers.
General Volunteer applications close Wednesday 10 September, 2014.
