State Championships Day 2 wrap

Day 2 of the 2013 Netball NSW State Championships has all wrapped up at Baulkham Hills and Parramatta Auburn Netball Associations.

With only one day left in the competition, here is how the teams are sitting after two days’ play.

Manly-Warringah is the only team to remain undefeated after Day 2. Randwick is close behind with just one loss marring their record. Orange is hot on their heels closely followed by Gosford and Sutherland Shire. Fixture/Results and Ladder

Sapphire Coast and Glen Innes share top honours at the end of Day 2, both undefeated. There is a bunch of teams within six points led by Hastings Valley, Charlestown, Nambucca Valley and Young.

Only two points separate the top four teams in the 19U Championship division. Charlestown leads the way with Manly-Warringah, Newcastle and Blacktown City in pursuit.

The undefeated Sutherland Shire sits atop the 17U Championship ladder. Manly-Warringah and Kur-ring-gai are equal on 20 points apiece, just two points behind Sutherland. Illawarra, Baulkham Hills and Newcastle are close behind.

Blues Mountains is just one point clear of Wagga Wagga at the top of the 17U Division Two table. Ballina is just a further point back with Charlestown and Taree District in touch.

Maitland sits in first place on the ladder, Westlakes, Hastings Valley and Forbes have a little breathing space from the next group of chasers headed by Brunswick Byron.

MASTERS (Over 35, Over 40, Over 45)
Baulkham Hills (35s) has maintained a clean sheet after two day’s play, but is just two points clear of Gosford (35s) setting up an exciting Day 3 to determine who will take home the title. Manly-Warringah (40s) and Hills District (40s)  are in third and fourth, separated by two competition points with Hills also leading the way in the Over 45 competition
