Netball NSW and NSW Swifts CEO Carolyn Campbell today announced the appointment of Tracey Fear, a former international High Performance Manager and Silver Fern, as the new General Manager – High Performance for the Netball NSW and the NSW Swifts Club.
“The role of the General Manager – High Performance for our organisation is critical to the growth of our sport in as we head into a huge three years in NSW, which includes a move into Netball Central (Sydney Olympic Park) and the hosting of the 2015 World Championships in Sydney”.
“The development of our talented athletes and ensuring a visionary and forward-thinking pathway for our huge talent pool of 112,000 NSW based netballers is a priority for us … and I believe that the appointment of Tracey will further enhance our successful programs .”
Tracey’s netballing pedigree is well documented as the former High Performance Director with Netball New Zealand for over ten years (2002 – April 2012), 69 international caps with the Silver Ferns, coaching experience with NZ Under 21’s, Waikato/BOP Magic (in National Bank Cup), selector and convenor of national selection panels, and two years as Netball Director.
“As a Club competing within the ANZ Championship – the NSW Swifts are always looking to ensure that we lead in all aspects of the game and are constantly challenging ourselves to be the best in the world.

Tracey was born in the ACT (Australia) and Tracey’s parents and siblings currently all reside in Canberra (3 hours from Sydney).
Tracey ended her tenure as Netball New Zealand High Performance Director in March 2012 and will move to Australia in early 2013, commencing her role at Netball NSW in late January.
