The Netball NSW Masters State Titles, historically known as the State Championships – Masters, is one of the landmark events on the Netball NSW calendar, and this year was no different.
This year we had associations join us from Goulburn to Hastings Valley, and while there were certainly our regular faces it was great to see those new associations who joined us this year.
2023 Champions Eastwood Ryde and Runners Up Manly Warringah were on court again to fight it out along with the challengers in Baulkham Hills, Penrith District, Gosford and Hastings Valley.
Across the 11 rounds, Eastwood Ryde were again our eventual winners, coming through undefeated, with some tight wins of only 1 point over the likes of Penrith District and Baulkham Hills. In her captain’s speech, Eastwood Ryde leader Emily praised the endless fight that the teams provide in this competition and how beneficial it is to have this event for the masters division.
“It is so great to see new faces here year after year, coming out and leaving it all on the court" said Emily.
‘There is great sportsman ship and games are played with smiles and high spirits and it is just such a great event”.
In a first for Netball NSW we also held an invitational Development Umpire program. Over 22 umpires were selected from their efforts by the Netball NSW Umpire Workforce at the Netball NSW HART Junior & Senior State Titles. With coaching provided by A badge umpires, the selected few were able to be closely mentored and guided throughout the day and further develop their skills in a close-knit environment.
Netball NSW thanks everyone who attended over the weekend and look forward to a bigger and better event at the Masters State Titles in 2025!
