Netball NSW is the peak state sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of netball throughout New South Wales and is affiliated to Netball Australia. Netball NSW provides the framework for approximately 115,000 registered members and over 150,000 total participants to enjoy netball at all levels throughout New South Wales. Our sport continues to grow both on and off the court and much of this success can be attributed to the wide range of programs, facilities and services Netball NSW offers to its members and participants - from the grassroots level through to the elite, professional level. The State Performance & Pathways Manager is an exciting new role within the Community & Pathways team responsible for leading emerging Performance & Pathways throughout New South Wales. Reporting to the General Manager Performance & Pathways, the role will provide overarching direction across the emerging talent, athletes and coaches throughout NSW. This is a critical new role with Netball NSW created to align the brand, marketing, campaign and communications execution across key Game Development product segments. The role will connect the dots across database comms, ABL and BTL, campaign spends, asset creation, social media, website, digital, PR and other channels to ensure consistent brand approach to maximise awareness and registrations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Netball NSW in the number one female sport in NSW and Australia! You will be the designated point of contact within a region to promote, facilitate and support the growth and sustainability of netball in Associations, Clubs, competitions and schools. You will develop recruitment and education strategies to grow participation and accreditation across all areas of netball in the region, including umpiring and coaching. You will lead, support and develop volunteers to grow the workforce involved in delivering netball activities, education, programs and competitions. You will support the maintenance and improvement of the regional netball facilities and infrastructure and build key stakeholder relationships with relevant government authorities, businesses, regional academies and local schools to achieve your goals.

With big plans to reach more schools and more students in 2022, Netball NSW is on the hunt for additional Casual Development Officers to help our organisation provide positive netball experiences in school clinics and programs and at community events across NSW. Development Officers play an integral role in the face-to-face delivery of school programs and community activations, helping Netball NSW to grow our presence in schools and encourage the next generation of netballers. Program delivery includes but is not limited to; School clinics, Sporting Schools programs, school holiday clinics, community programs and activations. Development Officers are the first netball touch point for many participants. We are looking for coaches who embody Netball NSW's values and behaviours as they deliver programs to help participants build greater connections with all aspects of the netball landscape and develop a love of the game. Netball NSW typically visits over 20,000 students in Public, Private and Independent schools across the state each year via Intro Clinics, Paid Clinics and the National Sporting Schools Program. In addition to this Netball NSW also provides 16,000 school students with the opportunity to play netball (competitive and non-competitive) through the Schools Cup Competition. Development Officers are provided with equipment, uniforms and all the lesson plans and resources needed to run fun, engaging sessions for participants. In particular, we’re looking for coaches in the following areas: South Coast - Goulbourn, Queanbeyan, Sapphire Coast, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, Cooma, Eurobodalla, Jindabyne & all other areas West/Central West - Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo & surrounding areas North & Far North Coast - All areas Riverina - Young, Albury, Narrandera, Leeton, Griffith Metro Sydney - Bankstown, Randwick, Sutherland, Campbeltown or willingness to travel to & all other areas Northern Inland - Tamworth, Armidale, Narrabri & all other areas If you or someone you know has a passion for sport, coaching and loves working with kids, this is the job for you!
