The DOOLEYS Metro League is one of the top netball competitions in New South Wales, offering a weekly competition for the state’s most talented metro-based netballers, coaches, umpires and administrators.

Contested on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights at Netball Central in Sydney Olympic Park on Wangal country, with more than 60 teams from across the Sydney Metro region battle it out for honours in six divisions.

Proudly supported by the DOOLEYS Catholic Club in Lidcombe for more than a decade, a host of NSW talent has come through Metro League, honing their skills in the competition before going on to higher honours in the Netball NSW Premier League, and subsequently Suncorp Super Netball via the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball.

This is an opportunity for association Bench Officials to join the bench official pathway through the Netball NSW pathway competition.

  • Associations may name bench officials who already hold an accreditation.
  • Bench Officials may be assessed for their Intermediate Bench Official Accreditation during the Metro League competition
  • Bench Officials will receive free entry to Netball Central on the nights that they are officiating a Metro League match
  • The purpose is to identify, encourage bench officials by providing opportunities to develop their skills to join the pathway to Premier League and beyond.
  • All 2025 Bench Officials (new and returning) will be required to attend an online training session – these sessions will be held:
