The Athlete Voice Committee was formed in 2021 in recognition that it is important to listen to athletes and to work with them to make a better future for Netball in NSW.
Athletes provide a unique perspective and the Committee aims to provide a safe environment for the group to express their feedback, concerns and ideas.
The Committee has had two meetings and at both there was strong voice on athlete well- being and on creating opportunities for our sport to influence change on social issues.
At the most recent meeting the athletes discussed the importance of well-being for those athletes that have faced disappointment with the recent postponement of events such as the HART Junior State Titles, Emerging Talent Camp and National Championships and were keen to send a message of support from one netballer to another.
