FITZY IN THE MAKING

Join GIANTS Netball Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald on Saturday 12^th March for an exclusive coaching forum including access to a pre-season game between GIANTS Netball and the Melbourne Vixens. Julie will be joined by special guests, Australian Diamonds Coach Stacey Marinkovich and Australian Diamonds Captain Liz Watson.

Marinkovich became just the 15^th person to coach the national side when she was announced as the coach in August 2020. A former national league player, Marinkovich played over 100 games with the Firebirds and Perth Orioles, retiring at the end of the 2009 season. Marinkovich most recently led the Australian Diamonds to success at the Netball Quad Series in London, with the Diamonds overcoming England in the final play-off.

Newly appointed Diamonds Captain, Liz Watson, is regarded as one of the best midcourters in the world. Watson debuted for the Diamonds in 2016 and two-years later was awarded Australian netball’s most prestigious award, the Liz Ellis Diamond. She brings power, creativity and leadership to her roles both on and off court.  Watson returned to the court during January’s Quad Series in London and has not missed a beat.

10am –12.00pm Coaching program including pre game insights, team culture, shooting, defence and attack skills and recommendations.

12:00pm-12:30 Julie Fitzgerald to provide preview of Vixens Match

12:30pm – 1.30pm – Lunch

1.30pm – GIANTS v Vixens Warmup

2.00pm – Pre Season: GIANTS v Vixens

3.45pm – (Approx) : Q&A with Julie Fitzgerald and Special Guests
