IMB South Coast Blaze is backed by Illawarra District Netball Association, Shoalhaven Netball Association, Kiama Netball Association, Campbelltown District Netball Association, IMB Bank, and Cleary Bros, with the non-financial support of the Illawarra Academy of Sport.

IMB South Coast Blaze's purpose is to blaze a trail for elite netball on the South Coast and in South Western Sydney through its Opens and U23s Premier League teams, Talent Identification Program for upcoming female and male athletes, and other elite and grassroots netball programs.
