Do you use a reusable water bottle when you hit the court?
It’s a simple thing that most of us do without thinking and recently Suncorp Bank helped us realise the significant impact this small action can have.
During the recent 2023 HART Senior and Junior State Titles, our partner Suncorp Bank provided a Hydration Station at each venue, allowing all players, officials and spectators to refill their bottles with fresh filtered water.
Suncorp Bank is committed to helping create a brighter future for their customers and the community, and so wanted to show their support at the State Titles by helping the netball community create a brighter future too.
In total the stations consumed 5,062L of water. That’s the equivalent of 8,436 or more than 5 pallets worth of single-use 600ml plastic water bottles!
We noticed many players and officials with their own bottles, managers with team coolers and plenty of spectators all visiting the stations which was great to see.
Thank you to everyone at the HART Senior and Junior State Titles who made the conscious choice to refill their water bottles and by doing so reduced the volume of single-use plastics at these events. Something to be proud of and a great reminder of the power of the collective impact we can make as a netball community!
