The NSW Government has announced a one off grant of up to $1,000 to eligible Clubs and Association across the state to assist with the resumption of community sport from 1 July 2020. The Fund is to assist organisations with fixed costs incurred between March and June 2020, where they have not already received financial assistance or relief from local, state or Commonwealth governments or other relief grants.
This fund will be administered by the Office of Sport through Netball NSW. We will be providing access to a netball specific data collection survey, will be checking the eligibility of affiliated Clubs and Associations and will make payments to eligible clubs and associations on behalf of the Office of Sport.
The terms, conditions and eligibility of the Grassroots Sports Fund are quite specific. They have been determined by the NSW Government and are outside the control of Netball NSW. Netball NSW must administer the program in line with the direction of the Office of Sport. We ask that you familiarise yourself with the requirements below and act on this promptly as the whole process must be completed by 31 July.
Eligibility
An Association or Club must have their own ABN, ACN or Incorporation number to be eligible for this funding. This means that a Club or Association cannot utilise a shared ABN, ACN or Incorporation number of another entity. However, an ABN can be obtained quickly. If a Club or Association does not have any of the above numbers, it is still possible to obtain an ABN and be eligible for the Grassroots Sports Fund by 31 July.
An ABN application can be completed online and you will receive your ABN as soon as you’ve completed your application – as long as you provide all the required information.
