Revered as a badge of excellence it takes an enormous amount of commitment, dedication and resilience to achieve this award. Jordan has come through the NSW and Netball Australia Umpiring Pathways. She has umpired in NSW for many years umpiring Premier League since 2017, has umpired at National Championships, internationally and has already umpired numerous Suncorp Super Netball games.
Jordan a proud Wiradjuri Women is thrilled with this achievement. Whilst she is the 46th person in NSW to have achieved this award, Jordan is the only First Nations woman in NSW to have received this accolade.
"Though it hasn't sunk in just yet, being awarded the All Australian Badge is a huge honour. I umpire because I love it. To be part of a group of umpires who I idolise is unfathomable. I will forever be grateful to the people who have given me support and guidance along my pathway from grassroots, Netball NSW and Netball Australia. The coaches who challenged me to grow and develop. The friendships with fellow umpires which created a fun environment off court. And finally, my family who taught me to believe in myself and who will forever be my biggest supporters," Kiss says.
Mardi Aplin, General Manager Performance and Pathways is delighted with the news, "Netball NSW congratulates Jordan on this significant achievement. It is a reflection of her dedication and commitment and a proud moment for herself, her culture and all those that have supported the talented umpire in her journey. We look forward to watching the newly badged AA in action in the future and wish every success as she continues to strive for further growth".
