With support from the NSW Office of Sport, Netball NSW has been able to offer all Dooleys Metro League Coaches the opportunity to be mentored in match play.
Feedback from an experienced Netball NSW performance coach enables coaches to look at their coaching through different eyes, extend their reflection and challenge their thinking.
Lani Warren, who coaches the Division 2 Parramatta Auburn team in Dooleys Metro League was mentored by Gin Welsh, an Elite Coach with experience at many levels in the Netball NSW performance pathway.
Following the experience, Lani wrote an email of thanks for the opportunity and noted, “Gin provided instant feedback at the end of the game and whilst I was nervous being watched it helped to settle the nerves with Gin’s calming nature, knowledge and gentle but direct approach. Most informative and worthwhile! I will definitely be looking to implement the feedback given.”
Netball NSW thanks mentors Jill McIntosh, Pate Cooper, Colleen Mitchell, Jo Macdermid, Kath Tetley and Gin Welsh and congratulates all Dooleys Metro League Coaches who took advantage of this wonderful opportunity to challenge themselves and grow in their coaching practice.
