Netball NSW is happy to announce that Tim Brown has been appointed as the organisation’s Chief Financial Officer.
A seasoned Senior Executive, Brown joins NNSW having previously served as Financial Controller of the Sydney Roosters, overseeing the day-to-day finance operations of the celebrated NRL club.
Before working in sport Brown worked in argi business with GrainCorp as a Senior Commercial Analyst, and prior to that he was as an Assistant Manager for Deloitte in both Sydney and London.
NNSW CEO Tracey Scott welcomed Brown and congratulated him on the appointment.
“Tim has a very impressive track record in the finance industry over a sustained period of time and we are delighted to welcome him to the netball family,” Scott said.
“Our business is a large one with a huge grassroots community, an extensive performance pathway and two professional sports teams under our umbrella so an experienced pair of hands is vital to allow our business operate at its optimum.
“I think his experiences at the Sydney Roosters will also prove to be hugely beneficial for us and I am thrilled to have someone join our executive leadership team who understands the importance of all components of the netball ecosystem in NSW.”
Brown thanked NNSW for the opportunity.
“I am delighted to be joining Netball NSW and would like to personally thank Tracey and the Board for the opportunity,” he said.
“I have long admired netball in NSW which is a leading grassroots sport, and the clear leader for women in sport. What also impresses me is its huge national presence and its participants internationally.
“Despite the wealth of competition at home and abroad, Netball NSW has continued to be a leader and I am excited to be given the chance to contribute to the game.
“I am really looking forward to playing a role in assisting with NSW netball’s continued growth and sustainability.”
