Head into the bathrooms at Netball Central this week and you’ll discover a bright, uplifting space featuring bold colours, inspiring messages, and free access to period products. The transformation marks the beginning of Netball NSW’s newest partnership with U By Kotex. The activation is launching for the Schools Cup State Finals but kicks off an annual partnership, where both organisations will be working to support young athletes to play with confidence – no matter the time of the month.
One in five girls have considered dropping out of sport due to challenges managing their period, which is why Netball NSW and U By Kotex are committed to breaking barriers and keeping girls healthy, confident, and in the game.
As part of the partnership U By Kotex will continue providing period products all year, as well as free educational resources to schools participating in the Netball NSW Schools Cup. The aim is to empower teachers, coaches and players with the tools to break down barriers and fight some of the common stigma associated with periods.
“We’re thrilled to welcome U By Kotex to the Netball NSW family,” said Tracey Scott, Chief Executive Officer, Netball NSW.
“This partnership is about empowering young athletes to feel comfortable, informed and confident both on and off the court. We’re proud to partner with a brand that shares our commitment to supporting women and girls to play and stay in sport.”
“This is such an exciting partnership for us. We’re here to ensure a period never gets in the way of a girls’ progress, whether that’s on the court or off” said Chris Dunne, Spokesperson for U By Kotex.
“And by working with Netball NSW we can empower girls to stay in the game, every day of the month.”
The U By Kotex x Netball NSW partnership represents a shared commitment to fostering confidence, education and empowerment for girls and women in sport – creating spaces where they feel supported, celebrated and unstoppable.
