Congratulations to Samantha Rumbel (Port Stephens Netball Association) our August Valour Netty Legend of the Month.
Nominated by Jodie Cassar (President of Port Stephens Netball Association), Sam has dedicated the last 15 years to netball despite never having played the game. Sam initially became involved as a mum and was soon working hard behind the scenes at Dungog and Port Stephens Netball Associations. Sam has been the President of Dungog Netball Association until this season and has been an executive member and Representative Convenor of Port Stephens Netball Association for over 6 years.
Sam’s attention to detail and organisation as Rep Convenor is second to none, creating a positive experience for all. Sam also plays an integral role in ensuring regional athletes and officials gain further development through their involvement with Hunter Netball, playing in Metro League. You will always see Sam at NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball games, as an avid supporter for all levels of our game.
“Sam is truly committed to making sure athletes young and old have a positive Representative experience” says Jodie “Sam also works tirelessly behind the scenes and is a key contributor to Hunter Netball.”
Every month Clubs, Associations and members are asked to nominate a volunteer who has displayed one or more of Netball NSW’s values and behaviours and through this, created an exceptional experience for another member or members.
Congratulations to Sam and Jodie who will both be receiving a Valour Gift Card valued at $250 and $100 respectively.
