While 2020 has not been the best year for our NSW Performance Pathways athletes, we can begin to look forward as dates are now set for the 2021 NNSW 17/U and 19/U State Teams and Emerging Talent Trials.
If you are a netballer who is turning 16-19 years in 2021, enjoy a challenge, like to meet new people and learn new skills then you should put these dates in your diary.
Phase 1 Trials for the 17/U age group will be held in Nowra, Newcastle, Orange and Sydney with Phase 1 for 19/U athletes in Sydney.
Phase 1 trials will be a combination of skill development sessions and match play. Experienced selectors will be assessing athletes’ technical skills, court sense and netball IQ, speed, fitness, determination and work ethic.
At the conclusion of Trials, 24 athletes will be selected to represent NSW at the 2021 National Netball Championships and wear the Waratah with pride. A further 24 athletes will be selected to be involved in the Netball NSW Emerging Talent program.
Registrations for the 17/U age group will open at 9am on Tuesday 1st September 2020, and close at 5pm on Tuesday 13th October 2020.
Registrations for the 19/U age group will open at 9am on Tuesday 1st September 2020, and close at 5pm on Tuesday 27th October 2020.
