Netball NSW is hitting the road again in 2025, bringing elite athletes, leadership programs, and community workshops to regional NSW as part of the annual Beyond the Court Workshops.
The roadshow will visit:
• Newcastle: 17–18 October
• Goulburn: 14–15 November
• Tamworth: 28–29 November
"The roadshow is all about connection - listening to our communities, sharing knowledge and inspiring the next generation," Trish Crews, Executive General Manager of Communities at Netball NSW said.
"It's a privilege to spend time in these towns, meet the people who make netball happen, and work alongside them to keep growing the game."
Over two days in each location, the roadshow delivers a full schedule of activities – from school visits and association meet-and-greets to youth leadership sessions and Beyond the Court workshops – designed to strengthen netball’s presence in regional areas and celebrate the local communities that make the game thrive.
Friday begins with visits to local schools, where NSW Swifts (Newcastle & Tamworth) or GIANTS Netball (Goulburn) athletes meet students, answer questions, and join assemblies.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to the local netball association for an open community event with signings, photos, and a chance to connect with Netball NSW leaders – often attracting local TV and radio coverage.
Then in the evening, the Youth Ambassador Program gives local young netball leaders a chance to discover their strengths through personality profiling, leadership games and have a positive voice for change in netball to create a positive experience for all.
Saturday is all about the Beyond the Court program – a full day of workshops open to the entire netball community. Sessions will cover:
• Coaching for Connection – The NETTY Way
• Umpire development
• Volunteer capacity building and frameworks
• From Issue To Resolution
• Inclusion in multicultural communities
• NetSetGO program development
Participants can tailor their day by choosing sessions that best suit their role. Saturday night concludes with a social dinner with local clubs and associations, celebrating community spirit.
Netball NSW CEO Tracey Scott, Board members, senior executives, and high-profile NSW Swifts (Newcastle & Tamworth) or GIANTS Netball (Goulburn) athletes will attend each stop of the Roadshow, ensuring regional communities have direct access to the game’s leaders and role models.
The Roadshow also champions inclusion, with dedicated workshops on multicultural engagement, positive sideline culture, and making netball welcoming for everyone. By combining leadership development, skill-building, and fun, the program leaves a lasting impact in every region it visits.
