Opens Grand Final: North Shore United v Manly Warringah Sapphires
It all comes down to this. After 18 rounds and three epic clashes this season, North Shore United and Manly Warringah Sapphires are set for a fourth and final meeting to decide who takes home the 2025 Premier League title.
North Shore United finished the regular season as minor premiers, holding off their Grand Final opponents by just one point. Their campaign included a narrow scare from 9th-placed South Coast Blaze in Round 8, and a tight Round 10 loss to reigning premiers South West Mounties MAGIC—but their consistency and grit kept them top of the table.
Manly Warringah Sapphires have been strong from the outset, beginning their year with a pre-season HeartKids Cup win. A couple of mid-season setbacks—including a loss to Sutherland Stingrays in Round 11—tested their resolve, but they bounced back to eliminate those same Stingrays in an extra-time Preliminary Final thriller to reach the big dance.
The head-to-head tells the story:
Round 2: North Shore United 55 def. Manly Warringah Sapphires 39
Round 11: Manly Warringah Sapphires 48 def. North Shore United 46
Finals Week 1: North Shore United 51 def. Manly Warringah Sapphires 50
With both teams boasting elite combinations and a history of heart-stopping finishes, this Grand Final promises another classic.
23U Grand Final: GWS Fury v Panthers
The future of NSW netball will be on full display as GWS Fury and Panthers meet in a 23U showdown that’s been building all season.
Fury finished second on the ladder, navigating a mid-season form slump but finding their rhythm at the right time. A thrilling one-goal semi-final win over the Panthers sealed their place in the Grand Final and extended what’s become a tightly contested rivalry.
Panthers were the benchmark throughout the year, finishing as minor premiers with just two losses and a draw. They locked up top spot with three rounds to go and had to take the long road to the final after their semi-final loss to Fury—but bounced back in style to defeat UTS Randwick Sparks in the Preliminary Final.
Their season-long battle reads like a script:
Round 7: Panthers 50 def. GWS Fury 47
Round 17: GWS Fury 58 def. Panthers 56
Finals Week 1: GWS Fury 52 def. Panthers 51
Expect full-court pressure, rising stars, and a title match that will go down to the wire.
