The contribution of volunteers will be in the spotlight at the 2025 Netball NSW State Awards, with the announcement of the finalists for the prestigious Community Volunteer of the Year Award, taking place on Saturday 1st November at Bankstown Sports Club.
The award recognises individuals who exemplify Netball NSW’s values of being Welcoming, One Team, Best Always, Integrity, and Fun, and who create exceptional experiences for members within their clubs and associations. Each finalist has previously been named a Valour Netty Legend of the Month, celebrating their outstanding service to the netball community in 2025.

Netball NSW General Manager – Communities Trish Crews said the award is a vital way to celebrate the contribution of volunteers across the state.
“Netball thrives in NSW because of the dedication, passion, and generosity of our volunteers. These finalists have each made an extraordinary impact in their local communities, and we are proud to recognise their efforts on a state-wide stage,” Crews said.
The Community Volunteer of the Year Award winner will be announced at the 2025 Netball NSW State Awards, where the sport will come together to celebrate excellence both on and off the court.
Hosted by Carolyn Swindell from the No Dribble Podcast, the 2025 State Awards Dinner is a night not to miss as the netball achievements of 2025 are celebrated.
