Netball NSW has once again joined forces with NSW Health to bring the Finish with the Right Stuff program to Associations across the state.
The program supports junior sporting clubs to provide and promote water and healthy food options to players and patrons.
NSW Swift and Australian Diamond Paige Hadley is once again on-board as a Finish with the Right Stuff Ambassador, making it her third consecutive year with the program.
“I am delighted to be supporting Finish With The Right Stuff again in 2020,” Hadley said.
“2020 has been a really difficult year for everyone so far and we need to ensure a healthy diet is part and parcel of our daily lives and our training habits.
“You can’t out-train a bad diet and Finish with the Right Stuff helps ensure that young kids at clubs all over New South Wales are getting the proper nutrients to excel on and off the court.”
The program is part of the NSW Government’s plan for improving the general health and wellbeing of children. Clubs who join the program receive free support and resources to promote water and encourage their players to run on the ‘right stuff’.
Over 50 Netball associations have participated in Finish with the Right Stuff to date, and have supported their clubs to have healthy options available.
Participating clubs receive free guided support with merchandise and resources to support healthy changes.
“We are proud to be once again partnering with state sporting body Netball NSW for the upcoming 2020 season," said Meredith Claremont, Acting Executive Director, Centre for Population Health.
"The Finish with the Right Stuff program has supported over 330 clubs and associations to encourage players and patrons to choose water as their drink of choice and support clubs to have healthy food and drinks available”
