Thousands of players, officials, umpires, volunteers and fans head to the Hunter region next weekend (Saturday 10th June – Monday 12th June) for the Netball NSW HART Senior State Titles.
Maitland District Netball Association welcomes Opens Division 1, 17U and 15U Divisions 1 & 2 and Opens Male Divisions 1 & 2, while Newcastle Netball Association will host Opens Division 2 & 3 along with the 17U and 15U Divisions 3 & 4.
In an exciting first for Netball NSW, this year’s HART Senior State Titles will also feature the All Abilities State Challenge. The All Abilities State Challenge will take place on Sunday 11th June at Newcastle Netball Association with four teams participating.
‘We are very excited to see the All Abilities Challenge as part of this year’s HART Senior State Titles and view this as an important step forward for Netball in NSW’ said Executive General Manager of Communities and Pathways Tim Fava
The Senior State Titles are second only to the Junior State Titles in terms of size and scope, and among the largest community sporting events NSW has to offer.
‘Few sports in this country can demonstrate such a display of collective force as netball will in Maitland and Newcastle, and everyone should be proud to take part in a very special celebration of grassroots sport’ says Netball NSW Chair Sallianne Faulkner.
‘The State Titles showcase the best that netball has to offer at community level. While we are enthralled by the athleticism and role models of our NSW Swifts and Giants at Suncorp Super Netball level, none of that is possible without what we will witness in the Hunter.’
Netball NSW would like to thank both the Maitland District Netball Association and Newcastle District Netball Association for their efforts to bring the event to life, as well as HART Sport – the Naming Rights Partner of the 2023 Senior State Titles.
We also acknowledge as Host City Sponsors the support of Maitland City Council and City of Newcastle.
