Netball NSW is excited to announce that Expressions of Interest are now open for our Youth Advisory Group (YAG) - a unique opportunity for young people aged 14–21 to have their say and help shape the future of netball across the state.
The Youth Advisory Group is a space where young players, umpires, coaches, and volunteers can speak up, be heard, and contribute meaningfully to the sport they love. Whether they’re involved at their local club or dreaming of going further, youth voice matters.
Applications are now open for the 2025 YAG for a 12-month term from July 2025 to June 2026.
Why Join?
Being part of YAG is more than just a role - it’s a chance to build leadership skills, grow your confidence, and create real connections in the netball world. YAG members will have a direct line to Netball NSW to share feedback and ideas based on their own grassroots experiences.
While YAG is not a decision-making body, members will:
Provide valuable feedback on Netball NSW programs and initiatives
- Share what it’s like to be a young person in netball today
- Help shape how Netball NSW communicates with young people
- Suggest new and exciting ways to engage and retain youth in the game
- Reflect the voices of young people from diverse backgrounds and regions
Who Should Apply?
Netball NSW is looking for young people who are:
- Aged 14–21 at the time of appointment
- Passionate about netball and keen to represent the views of youth
- Actively involved in the sport, whether through playing, coaching, umpiring, or volunteering
- Excited to make a difference in the future of netball in NSW
If you want to be part of a team that’s helping build a better, more inclusive netball future, you are encouraged you to apply!
Submit your Expression of Interest today and help shape the direction of our game, on and off the court.
