With big plans to reach more schools and more students in 2022, Netball NSW is on the hunt for additional Casual Development Officers to help our organisation provide positive netball experiences in school clinics and programs and at community events across NSW.
Development Officers play an integral role in the face-to-face delivery of school programs and community activations, helping Netball NSW to grow our presence in schools and encourage the next generation of netballers. Program delivery includes but is not limited to; School clinics, Sporting Schools programs, school holiday clinics, community programs and activations.
Development Officers are the first netball touch point for many participants. We are looking for coaches who embody Netball NSW's values and behaviours as they deliver programs to help participants build greater connections with all aspects of the netball landscape and develop a love of the game.
Netball NSW typically visits over 20,000 students in Public, Private and Independent schools across the state each year via Intro Clinics, Paid Clinics and the National Sporting Schools Program. In addition to this Netball NSW also provides 16,000 school students with the opportunity to play netball (competitive and non-competitive) through the Schools Cup Competition.
Development Officers are provided with equipment, uniforms and all the lesson plans and resources needed to run fun, engaging sessions for participants.
In particular, we’re looking for coaches in the following areas:
- South Coast - All areas including: Goulbourn, Queanbeyan, Sapphire Coast, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, Cooma, Eurobodalla & Jindabyne
- West/Central West - Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo & surrounding areas
- North & Far North Coast - All areas
- Riverina - Young, Albury, Narrandera, Leeton, Griffith
- Metro Sydney - All areas including: Bankstown, Randwick, Sutherland & Campbeltown
- Northern Inland - All areas including: Tamworth, Armidale & Narrabri
