Lane Cove Netball Club is once again making the most of the Netball NSW Hyundai Community Raffle, turning the statewide fundraising initiative into valuable support for its members and local netball community.
After being recognised as the highest fundraising metropolitan club in 2025, Lane Cove has continued its involvement in 2026 with fantastic results already.
For the Club, one of the biggest benefits of the Hyundai Community Raffle is having access to a major fundraising opportunity that would be difficult for a community sporting club to deliver independently.
“We love this raffle because it gives every netball club across NSW the opportunity to participate in a major fundraising initiative that we simply couldn’t deliver ourselves,” Lane Cove Netball Club said.
The resources provided to participating clubs have also made it easier for Lane Cove’s volunteers to get behind the initiative.
“Providing clubs with downloadable social media tiles, posters and other marketing assets is an enormous help. It takes a significant job off volunteers, keeps the messaging consistent and makes it incredibly easy for clubs to promote the raffle to their members. Having the raffle online also makes it simple to share through email and social media.”

One of the Club’s most successful approaches has been taking the Hyundai prize car into the community, displaying it at local events and markets while volunteers sell raffle tickets.
The car has proven to be a major drawcard, helping start conversations and attract people to the Club’s raffle stand.
“Every time we have had the car onsite and sold raffle tickets, we have raised just over $1,000. It’s been a fantastic fundraising opportunity, but it’s also great promotion for our club and for netball more broadly.”
The raffle also provides an important opportunity for members to connect beyond the netball court.
“Having volunteers man the raffle stand creates a wonderful opportunity for our members to meet and connect on a personal level. It builds relationships within our club and helps create the strong sense of community that is so important to grassroots sport.”
