Netballers from all over the state descended on Wagga Wagga last weekend as the city hosted the 2022 Masters State Titles and Social Masters.
The Masters State Titles were played indoors at the Wagga Wagga Indoor Stadium, while the Social competition took place at Wagga Wagga Netball Association’s outdoor courts.
Netball NSW was lucky enough to be joined at the Opening Ceremony by Wagga Wagga Mayor Dallas Tout, Aunty Marie Atkinson and NSW Swifts star – and local junior - Sophie Fawns.
“There was plenty of netball, fun and laughs to be had over the weekend and many a boogie or two to a song over the loud speaker,” Netball NSW Competitions Manager Claire Dale said.
“The Social Function on Saturday night was definitely a main feature of the weekend and with lucky door prizes from the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball, it is safe to say a good night was had by all.”
The Masters State Titles consisted of eight associations and nine representative teams which competed to be crowned State Champions after playing each other once before being split into two divisions.
