This week’s Local Netball Heroes are St Paul’s Grammar School Junior Netball team.
Like everyone else in the community, they were really looking forward to the 2020 season having played an amazing 2019.
Last year St Paul’s were the ISA Grand final winners, beating St Andrews Cathedral School in a fabulous Grand Final at the home of Netball NSW – Netball Central in Sydney Olympic Park.
The girls are very disappointed that the Covid-19 pandemic has put netball on hold for now, but they are doing all the right things to ensure their community comes out of this time stronger, and they can’t wait to hit the court again.
We hope being named Netball Heroes will be a nice boost for them. Stay safe, stay healthy, be kind and we’ll all get through this together.
What to nominate a Netball Hero?
With the Covid-19 Pandemic putting netball on hold and forcing us to stay home, Netball NSW is using the time off to focus on everyday heroes in our game's state-wide community.
Do you have a Netball Hero in your part of NSW that we can celebrate? It could be a player, a coach, a cook... If you do then please send a note to mediateam@netballnsw.com and we'll get in touch. Alternatively, you can message us on Facebook.
