Netball NSW is pleased to announce the outcomes of its Annual General Meeting, with Vincent De Luca OAM re-elected as Director, and Alison Broadbent joining the Board for her first term. Shortly after the Annual General Meeting, the Board also re-elected Claire Tynan as Deputy Chairperson.
Sallianne Faulkner, Chair of Netball NSW, congratulated Claire, Vincent and Alison on their appointments:
“As a new director, Alison brings elite-level experience and a fresh perspective from her time as a Swifts player, while Vincent brings his long-term experience and knowledge of eight years on our Board.
“I also congratulate Claire, whose leadership as Deputy Chairperson since 2021, has been exceptional, providing stability and guidance to the Board.
“I am excited to bring together this Board, with the expertise to assist in growing netball across New South Wales, supporting players, officials, and the wider community.”
This combination of experience, fresh perspectives, and proven leadership positions the Board strongly to continue delivering strategic initiatives, fostering pathways for players, and supporting the broader netball community across the state.
“I extend our sincere thanks to Jennie Thompson for her dedicated service to the Board and for her commitment to advancing netball in NSW. Whilst Jennie was not re-elected, her contribution over her term has been highly valued.” Faulkner said
In addition, Netball NSW recognises the strength of the field of candidates nominated for the Board, demonstrating the depth of leadership talent committed to supporting and shaping the future of netball.
