Netball NSW will celebrate the people, performances and community spirit driving the sport forward at its 2026 State Awards Dinner this weekend.
From emerging athletes making their mark on the national stage to thousands of players competing in local and state competitions, 2026 has showcased the depth of talent and strength of community that underpin netball in NSW.
The state’s player pathways delivered impressive results, with the NSW 19U team winning gold and the 17U team claiming silver at the National Championships. 19 NSW athletes were talent IDd reflecting the work of athletes, coaches, clubs, associations and support staff in developing the next generation of talent.
Across the state, netball continued to bring communities together through competition and participation - from the Schools Cup to Koori Gala Day, Regional State Cup to Masters State Titles Aware Super Social Masters to Schools Cup.
Netball NSW CEO Tracey Scott said the achievements reflected the passion and commitment of the entire netball community.
“Netball in NSW is about so much more than what happens on the court. It is about creating opportunities, building connections and providing a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can belong.
“This year’s achievements, from our emerging athletes succeeding on the national stage to the hundreds of thousands of people taking part in competitions across the state, demonstrate the strength of our netball community.
“Our State Awards are an opportunity to recognise the people behind that success and thank everyone who contributes their time, talent and energy to growing our game.”
The 2026 Netball NSW State Awards Dinner takes place on Saturday 31 October at Waterview in Bicentennial Park and brings together representatives from across the sport to recognise excellence, celebrate service and acknowledge the contribution of the netball community throughout NSW.
