A household name and one of the most recognisable faces in Australian sport, Catherine Cox AM is one of the greatest netballers to ever grace a court.
Inducted into the Netball NSW Hall of Fame in 2022, Cox won multiple Premierships in both the yellow and red dresses of the Swifts and also shone on the world stage with the Australian Diamonds, winning two Netball World Cups and a Commonwealth Gold medal.
Educated at Oakhill College and a product of the Hills District Netball Association, Cox represented NSW at 17U, 19U and Opens levels before the advent of the first National Netball League (the Commonwealth Bank Trophy) in 1997.
Cox won four Premierships with the Swifts, including captaining the side to the inaugural ANZ Championship title in 2008 when the club had rebranded from the Sydney Swifts to the NSW Swifts.
A Swifts centurion, she finished her Club career in 2014 in the colours of the Melbourne Vixens when she won another Premiership in her final National League game.
In 2022 she was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her services to netball, and she continues to be one of the strongest voices in the game thanks to a broadcast career across both Channel Nine and Fox Sports.
