Australia’s No.1 female sports league is set to grace the nation’s finest indoor venue, and Netball NSW is challenging the community to break the world record crowd for a netball game.
Suncorp Super Netball returns to Sydney with a huge Round 2 Double Header at Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday 22 March, when the NSW Swifts take on the Melbourne Mavericks (5pm), while the GIANTS Netball host the Melbourne Vixens (3pm).
- Four World-Class Teams going head-to-head!
- Two SSN games for the price of one!
- The World's Best Netball League!
The NSW Swifts and GIANTS have long set the standard for women in sport across NSW, regularly drawing big crowds and creating incredible atmospheres at Ken Rosewall Arena.
The previous record for a national league regular-season game at Qudos Bank Arena was set when the Swifts attracted a whopping 13,500 fans back in 2016, but we want to smash that number.
Instead of just setting a league record, we want a world record. The target is to beat the 16,000+ crowd achieved at the 2015 Netball World Cup.
It’s a massive challenge, but netball has always been about breaking glass ceilings, and the sport continues to grow thanks to the passion of the NSW netball community.
So if you’re already a Swifts or GIANTS member, or planning to head along, spread the word. Invite your friends, family and teammates and help showcase what women’s sport has built — and continues to grow.
