Netball NSW welcomed the announcement on Wednesday 3rd February by NSW Labor that there will be an increase in Organisation Support Funding for State Sporting Organisations.
NSW Labor has agreed, if elected, to step up funding from $2.55m to $5m in 2023/24 and $10m per year in the years after as part of a multi-year agreement. Labor leader Chris Minns has pledged funding to sporting organisations across NSW.
'Sports organisations and clubs are often held together by the passion of volunteers, parents and families and it’s time that we had modern funding arrangements to match the modern challenges faced by these groups,' Mr Minns said.
Netball NSW CEO Tracy Scott said this money would be used to address the volunteer strain across the sport, progress critical projects and create sustainable environments for diversity and inclusion.
