Netball NSW has officially closed its statewide Flood Appeal, announcing a total of $22,509 raised in just two weeks to support regional netball Associations impacted by the devastating May 2025 floods.
Launched in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, the Flood Appeal ran from 30 May to 13 June, rallying the broader netball community to lend a hand to the hardest-hit Associations: Manning Valley, Nambucca Valley, and Macleay Netball Associations.
The funds will provide much-needed assistance in rebuilding facilities, replacing lost equipment, and supporting volunteers, officials and athletes affected by the floods. Associations not originally included but impacted by the severe weather have also been encouraged to contact Netball NSW if they require support.
“To everyone who donated or shared the message — thank you so much,” said Tracey Scott, CEO of Netball NSW. “Your generosity shows the strength of our netball community and will make a real difference for the Associations affected.”
The campaign gained significant traction during the HART Senior State Titles, held 7–9 June in Campbelltown and Camden. With more than 220 teams and thousands of spectators, the tournament became a powerful platform to raise both funds and awareness.
“This Appeal has been a way for us to come together — with heart and unity — to support our netball family through a really tough time,” Scott added. “It’s not just about sport; it’s about helping communities recover and reconnect.”
Netball NSW extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed. The outpouring of support is helping ensure that netball can continue to thrive in regional NSW communities.
