Netball NSW has today launched a review of the Origin Energy Premier League competition.
Throughout 2021 Netball NSW informed Premier League Licensees and stakeholders that a review of the competition would take place towards the end of the year. The upcoming 2022 season of Premier League will be the seventh year of the competition and at the conclusion of 2022 the Participation Agreements for all 10 Licensees will be up for renewal.
Accordingly, the review aims to ensure that the competition continues to meet its objectives and is providing the best possible opportunity for aspiring athletes, coaches, umpires and officials in NSW. The intent is to confirm, or establish, the ideal model and guiding principles for the Premier League competition for the next five years of new Participation Agreements, and beyond.
Netball NSW now invites any interested Club, Association or individual to make a submission to the first stage of the review. Full details of the review, including a timeline, are now available on a dedicated page on the Premier League website, and can be accessed by clicking here. The website includes three key documents, being:
- An overview of the review process and the stages planned to date;
- Statistics from the six years of the competition;
- The form which all submissions are to be submitted on.
Submissions to the first stage of the review close on Monday 22 November 2021.
