Why do you love umpiring?
I get the opportunity to umpire some very talented players and meet other umpires from across the state.
Who has inspired you in your umpiring career and why?
My inspiration in my umpiring career is Catherine Clift – our Umpire’s Convenor at QNA. She has always pushed me to be a better umpire and been my number one supporter. She is also the biggest supporter to junior umpires back at QNA – assisting them to learn more about the game, grow their netball knowledge, and gain their umpiring badges.
What is the best tip you have received about umpiring?
‘Chest to the court!’
What is the best tip you have for up-and-coming umpires?
Don’t take umpiring super seriously – make sure you have fun and enjoy it!
What is your favourite warm up song?
Never say Never – Justin Bieber
What is a challenge/setback you have had to overcome in your umpiring journey?
