The Sydney Netball Academy focuses on holistic, individual development and provides a fabulous introduction for talented athletes to the world of performance sport.
At the SNA session held on Friday, 24 July, athlete’s worked at intensity and focused on nailing their netball basics with Manly Warringah Sapphires Origin Energy Premier League coach, Gin Welsh.
The athletes also met former U21s Australian World Youth Cup team member and 2020 GIANTS Netball training partner Claire O'Brien prior to her departing for Queensland as part of the GIANTS Netball extended squad.
Each athlete also spent time with their mentor coach reviewing and assessing their personal goals. We hope each time SNA athletes walk out of Netball Central following these sessions that they feel like they are one step closer to achieving their netball dreams.
2021 Sydney Netball Academy Trials
For those netballers turning age 14-16 in 2021 and residing in the Sydney Netball Metropolitan area, the Sydney Netball Academy will be holding trials for the 2021 squad on Sunday, 18 October 2020.
Registrations for the Sydney Netball Academy will open at 9am on Tuesday, 18 August 2020, and close at 5pm on Tuesday, 22 September. Following the trials, 48 athletes will be selected into the SNA program.
