In wonderful news for All Abilities netballers across the state, the Netball NSW Foundation has been successful in securing grant funding from the Confident Girls Foundation which will lead to better equipment to make the game more inclusive.
Funding from Confident Girls Foundation will support the expansion of Netball NSW’s All Abilities Netball offering in 2026, significantly increasing the capacity of its Community Coaching network across metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW by providing essential equipment tailored to the participation needs of young people with disability.
The Netball NSW Foundation is a social impact initiative of Netball NSW launched in February 2026. Through strategic collaborations with funding and impact partners, the Netball NSW Foundation aims to amplify the positive impact of netball across NSW, remove barriers to participation, and provide netball as a place of belonging, lifelong learning and community connection.
Netball NSW Head of Foundation, Janyne Hogan said:
“Sport should be accessible for everyone. This funding enables our team to purchase tailored All Abilities equipment and deliver dedicated programs for schools and local netball communities across NSW, on a scale never before possible.”
“This will significantly increase access to participation in netball in 2026 and beyond – bringing to life the spirit of our Foundation’s first pillar, ‘Netball is a Place to Belong’.”
In NSW, netball has a reach and community footprint unrivalled by any other sport, creating a unique platform for organisations who work together to drive meaningful and lasting social outcomes across NSW.
Brooklyn Fraser, Head of Confident Girls Foundation, said”
“Confident Girls Foundation is proud to support Netball NSW in expanding All Abilities Netball across the state. This investment helps ensure more young people with disability can access the game in their local communities through the right equipment and support, making participation more achievable and inclusive”.
Hogan added:
“The Netball NSW Foundation is delighted to acknowledge the continued support of Confident Girls Foundation, as a successful recipient of its 2026 CGF Grants Program.
We are proud to collaborate and empower communities through netball, and extend our sincere thanks to the CGF Board and Team for sharing in our vision to deliver netball across NSW as more than a game.”
