Netball NSW is pleased to announce the selection of a cohort of elite umpires from across the state to officiate in Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) matches during the 2026 season, further showcasing the strength, depth, and calibre of the New South Wales umpiring pathway.
The High-Performance Umpire Squad for 2026 comprises Bronwen Adams, Jemma Cook, Tamara Buriani‑Gennai, Jordan Kiss, Tayla Favell, and Shauna Winchester, each of whom has consistently demonstrated excellence at state and national levels.
This squad combines umpires with extensive elite experience, including international representation and All Australia accreditation, as well as those returning to competition or entering their first full season under high-performance contracts.
Collectively, this group reflects the ongoing dedication, technical expertise, and leadership that underpin New South Wales’ officiating standards.
Netball NSW Performance Umpire Coach Helen George said:
“These selections are a reflection of the commitment, professionalism and dedication these umpires show to their craft.
“Officiating at Suncorp Super Netball level is the result of years of hard work, continuous learning, and a genuine passion for the game.
“Their achievement highlights the strength of the system that supports officials to develop and perform on the national stage.”
The Netball Australia Talent Identified Squad for 2026, includes Sarah McNamara, returning for her second year, along with Alex Brown and Adele Kozak, who will gain experience through SN Reserves and reserving opportunities.
Each umpire has followed their own journey through the New South Wales pathway, progressing from various development programs to national level, while balancing professional and personal commitments and establishing themselves as emerging leaders in the officiating community.
Their selection offers invaluable exposure to elite competition and supports their ongoing growth as part of Australia’s next generation of top umpires.
“We congratulate all selected umpires and look forward to seeing them in action through the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season,” George added.
